Refugees in Art and Religion
At the beginning of March, I began work on a soundscape for Grasmere School. The children at the school were busy in production of an art installation in response to the Syrian Refugee Crisis, and they needed some sounds to accompany the visuals.
The art installation, entitled Refugees in Art and Religion, was shown at Grasmere Church over Easter. It was even visited by HRH The Prince of Wales during his visit to the Lake District on 23rd March.
The film below is an extra that I made so that people who were unable to attend the show, could at least access the soundscape. I think that the shot of the sea is mesmerising . Watch and listen – it’s powerful yet poignant.
